November 2016 Alumni News

In Loving Memory of Karen G.

It is with a heavy heart that we inform the Ashley alumni of the passing of long-time employee and friend, Karen Gough. ย Karen passed away Monday, the 24th of October in her home in Northeast, Maryland. ย She gave almost 14 years of service to the mission of Ashley as a PSA and then as the evening PSA Supervisor. ย In her time here at Ashley, she worked tirelessly to ensure that the patient community received the utmost care and compassion and she was often tasked with preventing patients from leaving treatment against clinical or medical advice after staff had left for the evening. ย Her expertise and passion almost certainly helped save the lives of numerous individuals by convincing them to stay for โ€œjust one more nightโ€. ย Aside from being a member of the Ashley family, Karen was a mother to two wonderful daughters, as well as a beloved grandmother and a friend to many. ย Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.
