Meet Dr. William S. Queale

Dr. Queale received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1988 and his Master of Science degree in Exercise Science in 1990, both from the University of Delaware. ย During graduate school he was an instructor in the Department of Physical Therapy as it transitioned to a graduate degree program. ย He also worked part-time as physical therapist in New Castle, Delaware and at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Queale received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1988 and his Master of Science degree in Exercise Science in 1990, both from the University of Delaware. ย During graduate school he was an instructor in the Department of Physical Therapy as it transitioned to a graduate degree program. ย He also worked part-time as physical therapist in New Castle, Delaware and at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Dr. Queale went on to receive his Doctorate of Medicine from the Johns Hopkins University in 1995 and completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1998. ย After his residency, Dr. Queale completed a fellowship in General Internal Medicine at Hopkins. ย During his fellowship he received a Master of Health Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health where his research focused on the prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. ย Dr. Queale has remained as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins where he taught a course on the Physician and Patient in Society and served on the Medical School Admissions Committee. ย He currently serves on the Department of Medicine Quality Improvement Committee.

During the past several years, Dr. Queale has served as a healthcare consultant to numerous healthcare organizations, including Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas, Maxim Healthcare Services, and more recently BehaveCare, a behavioral health start-up company. ย His role with Maxim involves the development of quality measures and new clinical programs to deliver community-based primary care services to underserved populations, focusing on behavioral health and socioeconomic issues. ย Dr. Queale continues to practice as a primary care physician in his private practice in Baltimore, MD.
