From the desk of Becky Flood
December 29th marks my official one-year anniversary as the President and CEO of Ashley. Reflecting upon a very busy 2018, I would mark the last twelve months as a period of evolutionary change for our organization. In this time, we have changed a lot of processes and procedures to improve how we operate organizationally. While this has been vital to keep Ashley moving forward, we have also taken a lot of care to honor and preserve the legacy and tradition that form the foundation of our Ashley brand. We all take comfort in knowing that no matter our role at Ashley, we are making our founders proud.
To continue providing the care and compassion that Father Martin and Mae “Ashley” Abraham showed for everyone, we should strive to do everything possible to better the treatment experience for our patients. It’s the little things that make a difference! From providing pristine patient rooms, high quality towels and linens, to delivering effective cutting edge treatment, and providing a great place to work for our staff, each contribute to a higher vision of being recognized as the best treatment provider in the world.
We worked hard in 2018 to establish methodical processes, and identify and correct glitches. While this represented a lot of change to the way things were, it has allowed us to utilize our time and resources better to ultimately expand our goals. Through these improvements, we are building a strong foundation, and laying the groundwork for Ashley’s rapid future growth.
On December 10th we completed the 2018 Ashley Employee Satisfaction Survey. We have an overall participation rate of 75% (228 staff out of a total of 304) and our Satisfaction Index is 80.2%. This compares to indexes of 73.5% in 2017 and 69.7% in 2016. The information from this tool helps us understand what workplace issues are important to our staff.
Our November Patient Satisfaction numbers increased two percentage points over October with 99% of our patients indicating they would recommend Ashley to a family member or friend.
2018 was an exciting year! The good news from our Employee Satisfaction Survey, the high score on November’s Patient Satisfaction Survey, our positive 2018 business results, and all the commitment and hard work delivered by each of our staff, reinforce the Ashley I-ACT Core Values:
- Integrity – I do the right thing!
- Accountability – I own it!
- Compassion – I am with you!
- Total Commitment – I am all in!
In closing, The Executive Team would like to thank everyone for their support in helping us achieve a productive 2018. Have a wonderful and joyous holiday.
Peace, Becky
